La Cala America (North)

Opened just shortly after Campo Asia, Campo America (formerly the North Course at La Cala) is some 250 metres longer and carries a par of 72 (there are five par 5s).

Campo America is enhanced by spectacular views to the Sierra de Ojén and Mediterranean Sea. It’s wide, linked fairways and relatively few bunkers make this a slightly easier driving course, though the hilly topography requires a lot of carry across steep brush-covered side slopes. While the small raised greens demands more precise club selection to hit the mark. There are water hazards on the 9th and 16^th

The first 3 holes offer birdie opportunities to get your round started well and the final 3 holes provide a challenging variety.  The short 16th is spectacular, the green at the 17th is very narrow and the 18th offers a fantastic Par 5.  Slightly easier driving than the Asia Course, they are also fewer bunkers - but don't get too carried away, you will need to be accurate and extremely careful, especially when approaching the perched and elevated greens that make up nearly three quarters of the greens on this course.

Two, perhaps three, of the par 5s are reachable in two (holes 1, 9 and 15), and the par 3s are equally spectacular to those on Campo Asia.

 

We suggest playing all three courses at La Cala, especially if you are staying at the resort.  There are often special 3 round packages available and resident rates apply all year round.
